Lots of character in this old place.. the staff were helpful and very friendly.. I will gladly book again next time Im staying in the area.
I was on a trip for business with a friend and we decided to stay here, as the price was reasonable and it was close to where we needed to be. It's about a 15-20 minute drive to Stonehenge (would be only five minutes but there seemed to be a lot of traffic both times we went). The hotel itself is old, and has been around for a long time. Though a bit worn, it seemed clean and safe, and definitely charming. Parking was a plus. After we left the hotel we discovered that one of us had lost our cell phone. I rang the hotel and asked if they had found anything. Not only did they look in the room we had stayed in and around the hotel, but they also sent one of their staff to a nearby cafe that we had been to that morning to look for it! Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Would definitely go back again.
Mid Summer Place, Solstice Park, Near Amesbury, Wiltshire SP4 7SQ – 0845 241 3535
Situated next to the A303 with a Costa nearby. As a Holday Inn it is what it is.
Nice rooms. Friendly & efficient staff. Awful food; really bad value for money.

We had our wedding here and they couldn't of made it more special, Bob was fantastic and looked after us from start to finish. The food was perfect and all done for a very reasonable price. The room we got was lovely and I cant recommend this hotel strongly enough!

After reading some of the comments left here, I for one am surprised. I should Ignore some of the Idiotic Comments and treat them just as that! This was once a 'Spit & Sawdust' Pub, but now it has had a Complete Transformation. The Place has been Gutted, with Nice Inviting Décor both Inside & Out. The Staff are Professional, Friendly and unassuming and nothing is too much Trouble. The Chef Lee is without Doubt an Asset and is more than happy to Cook 'Off Menu' for the more discerning pallet. Recently, Lee cooked us the most Amazing Sea Bass and it was without Doubt the Best I have eaten. Be warned, Lee will need advanced Notice to be able to Prepare a Dish 'Off Menu'. The Carvery is Consistently Very Good, with the 3 Meats being Mouth-Watering, Succulent & Very Tasty. The Choice of Vegetables is plentiful and are always Moist and are never left on the 'Hot Plate' to Dry Out. The Choice of Gravy is plentiful, with a host of Condiments to accompany all 3 Meats. My Family & I started our Regular Visit some 4 months ago and have revisited now well over a Dozen Times. Every Time we have had a meal at The Stonehenge Inn, it has been Memorable and the Food Consistently Delicious. At Last, we have a Great Village Pub, (No More Sawdust or Spit come to that) and the Food worthy of a Major City, not this little Village! Recently, Lee Introduced a Curry Night and this comes with a FREE Pint of Lager or Beer to boot. The Curries are without doubt simply FANTASTIC and I can recommend the Korma and if you like Hot Spicy Curries, then YOU MUST try the Thai Red Beef Curry. Be Warned, it's Quite Hot, but don't be Put Off by that, this is what the FREE Beer is for, to cool down your pallet. Every Time we visit, we have received an Exemplary Service, from the Friendly Staff, Consistently Good Wholesome Food and with Lee being able to Cook 'Off Menu' giving this Village Pub the Extra CLOUT that the Local Competition can't offer. Don't listen to the Few Tainted Comments, as if you do, then you'll miss this Jewel of Stonehenge! Maybe, things went Wrong that Visit for the Chap who said some Awful things, but this is far from the Norm. Go there, Try it for yourself and YOU too will be making equally Brilliant Comments like we have done. Come On, what are you waiting for?
Easily the best effort of being a decent village pub at last. After many years of not being vey good the new owners have completely refurbished it to a high standard and it is now a pleasnat place to eat and relax. Good pub food with a carvery - steaks are very good and cooked to perfection.

Very friendly staff (family owned) and customers. We really enjoyed our stay at their B&B above bar, and will stop in again the next time we visit.
Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

We spent two nights here whilst travelling around the UK in 2013. Great quiet location with a very pretty view. Comfortable rooms and a great breakfast.

We spent a very pleasant night in one of the small double rooms. It was quite compact but beautifully decorated, quiet with a comfy bed plus free WiFi. The breakfast was also very good. The staff were very helpfull, competent and professional. Not naturally chatty and warm but that didn't bother us.
Brilliant cosy quite clean place !!!! Don't mind this previous reviewer. Everything is different or has changed since . Sorry we accidentally nicked tea spoon from you. Hope you are great ! Recommend , very close to Stonehenge .

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
