Mid Summer Place, Solstice Park, Near Amesbury, Wiltshire SP4 7SQ – 0845 241 3535
Situated next to the A303 with a Costa nearby. As a Holday Inn it is what it is.
Nice rooms. Friendly & efficient staff. Awful food; really bad value for money.

My partner and myself came to this Travelodge at Amesbury Stonehenge, on Sunday 26 August, which had been recommended to us. We had been travelling from Dover where my partner had been motorbike racing, and he had a large trailer carrying his bike and sidecar, both of us cold and tired.. We saw that it would be difficult to find a space for this, and so I asked the friendly lady in reception if it would be possible to find somewhere to park both the estate car and trailer, and she came out immediately and offered to move her car which was by the entrance so that we could park there and so that we would not have to unhitch the trailer from the car, as she understood that we were concerned about leaving them out of sight. Then, without us even asking for a particular room, she booked us a room above the car and trailer so that we would be able to see it! This kind lady then came out in the pouring rain, and moved her car, managing to attend to other guests arriving as well, when necessary. We were so grateful to find such a kind person when we were tired out and had a long journey to continue. On top of this, we later came downstairs to find the restaurants shutting and she then offered to drive us into the town to the local curry restaurant which she said was on her way home! We were absolutely amazed at the way we were made to feel so welcome by her and also we found the other staff to be very helpful as well.I would not hesitate in recommending this travelodge to anyone. We had our wedding here and they couldn't of made it more special, Bob was fantastic and looked after us from start to finish. The food was perfect and all done for a very reasonable price. The room we got was lovely and I cant recommend this hotel strongly enough!

We spent a very pleasant night in one of the small double rooms. It was quite compact but beautifully decorated, quiet with a comfy bed plus free WiFi. The breakfast was also very good. The staff were very helpfull, competent and professional. Not naturally chatty and warm but that didn't bother us.
Brilliant cosy quite clean place !!!! Don't mind this previous reviewer. Everything is different or has changed since . Sorry we accidentally nicked tea spoon from you. Hope you are great ! Recommend , very close to Stonehenge .

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. Breakfast was perfect and absolutely the best introduction to the English cooked breakfast I could've hoped for for my American fiancee. See you for an anniversary or two for sure!
We lucked out and this was the only place left with a room for the 2012 Solstice event at Stonehenge. My e-mails from the US requesting booking were returned promptly. The B&B is run by a lovely family with an adorable kitty that likes to hang out in the lounge and be petted by visitors. The decor is sumptuous but not overdone and our room was clean, comfortable, and had very new fixtures in the bathroom. Breakfasts here are great. The cellar has been converted and has the appearance of a very chic bistro. In the morning you can load up your plate with pastries, fruit, and a selection of other cold items, and as soon as you're seated they come and take your order for a custom-cooked English breakfast. And they do it right. In the future I hope this place is able to open its bar area in the lounge and the dining area as proper restaurants, as the food, service, and ambience are really fantastic. The B&B is either a thirty minute stroll or a twenty minute brisk walk to Stonehenge. There are lots of other great things in the area, such as the lovely church down the street or the Hawk Conservancy, which is just outside town. All hikes around other Stonehenge monuments such as Woodhenge and the barrows are a short walk from the B&B. Fairlawn House is LGBT-friendly, kid-friendly, green, accommodates dietary needs, and has free wifi.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

very nice staff very nice beer had a wonderful four days
Well, I can confidently say that all reviews prior to this date (August 2013) are not accurate in terms of our experience. We were given a fantastic room at a discount as this was our honeymoon, and given that the honeymoon suite was already booked, our room had a four-poster bed, ensuite & a bay window! Our welcome was friendly and helpful from the get-go - we felt immediately at home, so I cannot back up any of the negative issues that previous reviewers have experienced. The food was generous, well cooked and quickly served, we had no complaints there. All in all, and not just because it was our honeymoon, this is a good solid place to stay. ps: Contrary to the Google+ listing information, it is a 3-Star Hotel, and comes highly recommended by us!
